Embroidery Art Workshop in Winterset, Iowa

Audience: middle school +

Atmosphere:  We will create a design, transfer it to fabric, and learn various embroidery stitches to execute it. The final product may be framed or made into a journal cover, pin cushion, or doll pillow. We will be able to talk while we work.

Supplies/What to Bring: students should bring 2 or 3 embroidery needles, fabric scissors, a pencil, and an embroidery hoop if you have one.

I will provide embroidery cloth, embroidery thread, design transfer paper, and styluses. I will have some embroidery hoops available for use.

Cost:  2 hour workshop $30/participant+ $5 supply fee/participant
